Fake ID Lawyers

Got busted with a fake? It happens, but TicketTamer can help keep your record clean – and you will definitely want that because this offense can have a big impact on your job or career.

What Can I Expect?

We will negotiate a deal to reduce the charge down to a lesser offense. First time offenders can generally expect to pay a fine and court costs, possibly serve time on probation, and perhaps some other conditions, such as taking a class or performing some community service. But we will make sure it won’t be too bad, and will be there with you every step of the way.

How Does Probation Work?

Probation is a common condition to reduce fake ID violations. For first time offenders, chances are you will not have to report to a probation officer, but you will need to stay of out trouble during the probation period, which can generally be anywhere from six months to two years.

Also, there are two kinds of probation: Suspended imposition of sentence (SIS) and suspended execution of sentence (SES).

With suspended imposition of sentence, you plead guilty to the reduced charge, but the court does not issue a sentence and the offense is generally removed from your record entirely after probation if you don’t get into trouble again.

With suspended execution of sentence, you plead guilty to the reduced charge and the court imposes a sentence of imprisonment. But it does not execute that sentence, so you don’t have to serve your sentence if you stay out of trouble during the probation period. However, unlike a suspended imposition of sentence (SIS), a suspended execution of sentence is a conviction and will stay on your record.

Both SIS and SES can be helpful. But if you violate the probation by getting in trouble again, the consequences can be severe. With a suspended imposition of sentence (SIS), the court will consider the new charge when it sentences you for the one for which you were placed on SIS. With a suspended execution of sentence (SES), you have already agreed to the sentence when you accepted the SES, so you will generally have to serve it.

Why Pay More?

We charge just $500 as our attorney fee for a Fake ID charge, about a third of what most lawyers charge. That’s a flat fee and covers includes any court appearances we may have to make on your behalf. You may have to pay a court fine and court costs, but you won’t have to pay any more than that for your lawyer. We do our best keep our attorney fees down.

Why Get a Lawyer to Fix Your Fake ID Ticket?

You don’t want to just pay your ticket for a Fake ID.

If you do, you are pleading guilty to the violation. This will put a misdemeanor conviction on your record and could create problems for your job or career.

For example, it could keep you from getting a job involving the handling of money because the offense tells employers that you can’t be trusted. It could also keep you from getting a professional license if you want to go into any field requiring certification, like law or nursing.

You can avoid this risk by hiring a TicketTamer lawyer to fix your ticket. We will get your charge reduced to a lesser offense, like littering or minor trespassing, probably in exchange for some combination of probation, fine, community service, or a class.
